Metal Roofing Recycling

If you're tackling a roofing project and wondering what to do with all that scrap metal, Earth-Wise Waste Management has you covered. Our roll-off bins make it easy to handle metal waste efficiently and responsibly. Whether you’re a contractor removing an old roof or a homeowner upgrading your shed, we provide bins that can handle the job—and the recycling too.
We’ve seen a huge surge in demand this past year. More people than ever are choosing to recycle metal instead of sending it to the landfill. It’s not just good for the environment—it’s good for your bottom line too. Scrap metal like aluminum, tin, steel and old roofing materials can be diverted from waste and taken to the scrapyard, helping reduce landfill pressure and turning waste into resources.
Local Spotlight: Lumby Arena Metal Roof
A recent example is the Lumby Memorial Arena, which is currently undergoing a roof upgrade. We were proud to provide multiple bins for this job—collecting both the old metal roofing and associated construction waste. As of early April, five Earth-Wise bins have been stationed at the arena site. One bin (seen on the truck in the photo below) contains construction debris, while another is dedicated to metal roof waste. Two additional bins are located near the arena, helping the crew stay efficient and organized throughout the project.
If the name sounds familiar, that’s because Lumby Arena won Kraft Hockeyville in 2016, a title that still echoes throughout the community today.
